UNU IAS will co organize a thematic track session of the International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific ISAP 2026 https://isap.iges.or.jp/2026/en/ , exploring how effective socio ecological production landscapes and seascapes SEPLS management enhances biodiversity and supports recognition of Other Effective Area based Conservation Measures OECMs . Featuring implementers and government representatives of the Satoyama Development Mechanism SDM project, the session will highlight achievements, share practical lessons and provide insights for advancing OECMs and sustainable biodiversity management.
