The Government has identified densifying around train stations as a key way to help close Britain's urban density gap and deliver more homes in cities. It is a welcome direction of travel: recent Centre for Cities research https://www.centreforcities.org/reader/flat britain/british cities have a density gap/ found that British cities are missing more than two million homes compared with their French and Japanese counterparts.
